This workshop offers critical perspectives on the shifting political landscape in Europe and explores the role of museums as democratic institutions operating within multicultural societies marked by inequality, segregation, and contested narratives of belonging.
The workshop provides space for joint learning and the exchange of different perspectives. It will be held in English - during exchange and work phases in groups, it is of course possible to switch to your preferred language. Participation is free of charge.
The event is organized in the context of the EU project “Moving Europe. Negotiating Legacies of Migration at the Museum”.
The workshop will be facilitated by the Migration Lab, a network for education and culture in the migrant society, based at the University of Hildesheim (Germany), in cooperation with Mångkulturellt centrum, a migration museum and a forum for research and artistic expressions focusing on migration as well as democracy, equality, segregation, racism and cultural heritage.
More information and workshop agenda will be added shortly.
